Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Wilson, NC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and active ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications.

Details

• Work setting is a 294-bed, Joint Commission Accredited hospital Emergency Department in Wilson, NC
• 26-bed ED unit serving an all-ages patient population
• Common diagnoses and treatments include respiratory distress, overdose, CHF, dialysis, and hypertension (HTN)
• Patient ratio is 1:4-5, flexible depending on acuity
• GE monitors and standard ED equipment in use
• Meditech is the EMR; prior experience preferred
• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend requirement
• No on-call requirements
• Float requirement is to like assignments
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license — NC or Compact license required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS (AHA-issued certifications required)
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• Associates degree in Nursing required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• Scrubs in any color are acceptable; scrubs branded with the facility name are not permitted
• Wilson, NC is located 45 miles east of Raleigh, approximately 2 hours from the NC coast, and within 1 hour of Duke, NC State, UNC Chapel Hill, and East Carolina University
