Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg travel position in Roswell, NM, requiring at least 1 year of Med/Surg experience and an active NM or Compact RN license.

Details

• 13-week contract on a Med/Surg unit (Floor 1) in a hospital setting
• 36-bed unit serving a general medical/surgical patient population, including some post-op orthopedic and general surgery cases
• Patient ratio is 1:6, occasionally 1:7
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required as needed (rarely); may float to the ICU to cover step-down or Med/Surg overflow patients
• No on-call requirements
• EMR: Cerner; Mindray Telemetry System in use

Requirements

• Active NM or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience required
• No certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the contract start date
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
• Fingerprinting is required for all travelers working in New Mexico; this process can take several weeks
• Scrub color: Royal Blue
• RTO is limited to less than 1 week for the duration of the contract
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
• Block scheduling and 48-hour shift arrangements may be accommodated upon request
