Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 1 year of experience for a 12-week night shift travel assignment at a long-term acute care hospital in Lima, OH.

• Long-term acute care hospital setting in Lima, OH
• Respiratory therapy department serving both inpatient and outpatient populations
• Night shift: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required
• 12-week contract

Requirements

• NBRC RRT or CRT certification required
• Active Ohio RT license required (license required if applicable)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required through the American Heart Association
• Minimum 1 year of recent respiratory therapy experience
• No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include ventilator management, airway maintenance, delivery of medicated aerosols, pulmonary function studies, blood gas analysis, cardiac and pulmonary stress tests, and insertion of arterial lines
• Assists physicians with both invasive and non-invasive procedures, including intubations
• Follows protocols approved by the medical staff and department policies to deliver timely diagnostic and therapeutic services
• Candidates who have previously worked at a Kindred Hospital facility in a permanent or contract capacity should be prepared to disclose that history during consideration
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate
• RQI and RCIS certifications for BLS and ACLS are not accepted
