Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring a minimum of 5 years of PACU/inpatient RN experience, Epic proficiency, and an active CA RN license.

Details

• Day Surgery Unit setting serving both adult and pediatric patients
• Role encompasses pre-op, PACU, and post-op areas
• Schedule is 4x10-hour shifts with variable start times between 0600–0930
• No on-call or weekend requirements
• Closing shift (0930–1800) may require staying late if a patient does not meet discharge criteria
• Some 23-hour stay patients may be booked with only 24–48 hours advance notice, requiring schedule flexibility
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an inpatient PACU RN and/or in an outpatient surgical setting
• Minimum 3 years of critical care experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an ASC (ambulatory surgery center) setting required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Must be able to work with both adult and pediatric patient populations
• Two supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, care coordination, direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Only one holiday RTO request will be approved per contract
