Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with 1+ year of experience for a 13-week acute care assignment at a Critical Access Hospital, working across multiple outpatient and inpatient settings in Minnesota.

Details

• Acute care setting at a Critical Access Hospital (CAH) with a 15-bed inpatient unit and a well-appointed outpatient department with an on-site wellness center
• Primary location with float coverage to two additional nearby facilities
• Physical therapy services span outpatient, inpatient, and home care settings; no long-term care (LTC) involved
• PTA supervision responsibilities included
• Equipment used includes ultrasound, electrical stimulation (E-stim), traction, and iontophoresis
• EMR: Epic; training provided as needed
• Schedule is 8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday (8:00am–4:30pm with some flexibility), with rotating weekends and holidays
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required, with orthopedic and rehab skills
• Current BLS certification required
• Active MN PT license required (license required if applicable)
• MN Background Study required
• Two current professional references required: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and one from a peer or supervisor within the last 3 years in the same specialty
• Active certifications required at time of consideration; pending certifications are not accepted

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include PT evaluation and treatment across outpatient, inpatient, and home care settings, as well as PTA supervision
• Manager is available at all times for support
• Epic orientation and training provided as needed
• Scrub colors accepted: ceil blue, khaki, gray, or chocolate brown polo; business casual also permitted
• Candidates with previous employment at any Sanford Health location must disclose this; a minimum 6-month gap between end date and submission date is required for prior Sanford employees
