Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift travel contract requiring an active MA RN license and a minimum of 2 years of ED nursing experience.

Details

• 65-bed, pod-based Emergency Department with a separate pediatric pod and a dedicated Acute Mental Health area
• Serves all patient populations with an average census of approximately 230 visits per day
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
• Required skills include assessment, documentation, IV placement, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education
• Primary shift is nights, 19:00–07:30 (36 hrs/week), every other weekend required
• Day rotation (7a–7p, 11a–11p, 7p–7a) may be requested on a low-frequency basis
• Floating is required
• Charting is performed in Epic (ASAP module)

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required; no pending or conditional licenses accepted
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required
• Required certifications (AHA only): BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• TNCC and NRP certifications strongly preferred
• Epic (ASAP) EMR experience preferred
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted

Additional Information

• All certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA); no other providers accepted for this facility
• Timekeeping is managed through UKG/Kronos
