Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring an active MA RN license and a minimum of 2 years of ED nursing experience.

Details

• 65-bed, pod-based Emergency Department with a separate pediatric pod and dedicated Acute Mental Health area
• Adult and pediatric patient population, approximately 230 visits per day
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift position: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Rotating shifts may be requested (7a–7p, 11a–11p, and 7p–7a); rotation frequency is low
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Floating may be required
• EMR: Epic ASAP
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required; no pending or conditional licenses accepted
• AHA-certified BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
• TNCC and NRP certifications strongly preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required
• General ED skills required including assessment, documentation, IV placement, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education
• Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted
• 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• All certifications must be AHA-issued only
• Local candidates with a permanent residence within 60 miles of the facility are eligible but will be offered a reduced rate
