Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position requiring an active IL RN license and a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with float responsibilities between two outpatient digestive health locations.
Details
- Outpatient endoscopy center setting with float requirement between Champaign Endoscopy Center and Digestive Health Department
- Patients undergoing routine GI procedures including colonoscopy and upper endoscopy
- Nurses rotate through prep, intra-procedure, and Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery
- Four 9-hour day shifts per week with rotating start times typically between 0630 and 0800
- 36 hours per week
- No weekend or holiday shifts required
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active IL RN license in good standing required; temp license accepted
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association) required
- Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience required
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- Epic EMR charting experience required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient assessment, IV placement, patient education, moderate sedation administration under physician direction, and assisting CRNAs during anesthesia cases
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- RTO is not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at Carle Health for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any Carle Health location
