Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with at least 1 year of ultrasound experience and ARDMS certification for a 13-week travel assignment in Lafayette, CO.

Details

• Hospital-based ultrasound department
• Performs general and vascular ultrasound procedures; no echo, breast, ABIs, or segmental pressure studies
• 4x8 hour day shifts, Monday through Thursday from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• No weekend shifts required
• On-call requirement of approximately once every 4–5 weeks, plus assigned holidays
• Uses Epic for charting
• 32 hours per week

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of ultrasound experience required
• ARDMS registry required
• BLS certification required (AHA only); must not expire prior to assignment start
• Associate's degree required
• Proficiency with general and vascular ultrasound procedures (excluding ABIs, segmental pressure, echo, and breast)
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• Computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Performs ultrasound procedures per physician specifications, including patient positioning, immobilization, and image acquisition
• Submits images and clinical information to the Radiologist for interpretation and evaluates image quality
• Coordinates examinations to ensure timeliness, quality, and continuity of patient care
• Practices sterile technique and adheres to infection prevention policies
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN are required for consideration
