Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 1 year of experience for a 12-hour night shift position at a hospital-based respiratory therapy department in Butte, MT.
Details
- Hospital-based respiratory therapy department
- 12-hour night shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours per week
- May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
- May be required to be on-call during regularly scheduled shifts
- Epic EMR used for charting
Requirements
- Graduate of an NBRC-approved Respiratory Therapist program from an accredited institution
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Active state license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS certification (AHA-issued, must not expire prior to start date)
- Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
- Epic EMR experience
- Date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provides advanced-level respiratory care including diagnostic testing, arterial blood gas collection, equipment management, and respiratory protocol initiation
- Administers medications safely and evaluates patient response, communicating progress to physicians, nurses, and other departments
- Educates patients and families on self-care techniques and health promotion
- Serves as a resource, consultant, and mentor to CRT staff and participates in quality improvement and research activities
- Participates in departmental meetings and patient safety initiatives, identifying opportunities for process improvement
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
