Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer (Echo Tech) with 2+ years of experience, including stress test and TEE proficiency, for a 13-week travel assignment in Wilson, NC.

Details

• Cardiology department at a 294-bed, Joint Commission Accredited acute care hospital with a Trauma Level 4 designation
• Cardiac adult patient population with common diagnoses including ACS, HF, AFib, Shock, and CVA
• 3 stress echo rooms available; 1:1 patient ratio
• Equipment includes Philips Epiq and GE Vivid ultrasound systems
• EHR: Meditech and Merge (Meditech experience preferred)
• 8-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• Every other weekend rotation required
• No call or float requirements

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer
• RDCS or RCS certification required
• AHA certifications required
• Proficiency in stress echocardiography and TEE required
• License required if applicable
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate

Additional Information

• Perform echocardiographic studies including stress echo and TEE for adult cardiac patients
• Orientation is conducted on a bi-weekly schedule
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable; t-shirts, jeans, and leggings are not permitted
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates may not be employed elsewhere full time during the assignment
• Wilson, NC is located 45 miles east of Raleigh, approximately 2 hours from the NC coast, and within 1 hour of Duke, NC State, UNC Chapel Hill, and East Carolina University
