Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN Circulator for a Level I trauma center position requiring circulate, scrub, and charge experience with on-call availability.
Details
- Work in a Level I trauma, academic teaching hospital with 268 staffed beds
- OR unit with 11 rooms handling high-volume ortho, trauma, and spine cases, plus all other specialties with minimal pediatric cases
- Patient ratio is 1:1
- Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- On-call required: up to 8 weekday shifts and up to 9 weekend call shifts (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) per 13-week period, with a 30-minute recall requirement
- Blocked scheduling on weekends
- No floating required
- Charting performed in Cerner
- Scrubs are provided for OR RNs
- Free parking available on-site
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted AZ RN license or a valid, participating compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
- Experience in circulating, scrubbing, and charge roles required
- Experience in general, ortho, spine, trauma, and neuro (including craniotomies) required
- Level I trauma center experience required; highly skilled candidates with recent Level II trauma experience at a similarly sized or larger facility may be considered
Additional Information
- 13-week contract
- Responsibilities include circulating, scrubbing, and charge duties in a high-volume OR
- 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
- All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; RTO requires unit manager approval
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted
