Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 1 year of experience for a 13-week night shift contract in an adult critical care setting, with proficiency in Epic and hands-on ventilator management skills.

Details

• 13-week travel contract
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• 4 rotating weekend shifts per month
• On-call required
• Adult critical care and emergency department setting
• Patient diagnoses include CHF, COPD, pneumonia, respiratory failure, and respiratory infections
• Specialized procedures include ABG sampling, ventilator management, patient assessment, medication administration, and pulmonary hygiene
• Equipment includes Hamilton Vent, Servo-U, NKV330, and V60 ventilators
• Epic EMR preferred
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible as local candidates

Requirements

• Active RRT credential required
• BLS certification required
• Active state license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
• Proficiency in Epic EMR
• Experience with adult critical care and emergency department settings
• Skills required: extubation, intubation assist, nasal/oral airway placement and suctioning, sputum specimen collection, ETT/NT suctioning, tracheostomy care and management, bag-mask ventilation, HFNC, BiPAP, CPAP, T-piece, trach collar, troubleshooting high-pressure alarms, weaning from mechanical ventilation, and long-term care
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained

• Any time off or scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
• Call-off policy allows up to 3 shifts per 13-week assignment; shifts placed on-call in lieu of being called off count toward this total
