Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Oncology RN for a clinic-based position in Illinois, requiring a minimum of 2 years of oncology experience and an active IL RN license.
Details
- Work setting is a specialty care oncology clinic
- Day shift schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (5x8s)
- No call or weekend requirements
- Charting is performed in Cerner
- This is a mandatory float facility — clinicians may be floated to any Cook County facility within 50 miles at the facility's discretion, with as little as 2 hours' notice before a shift
- If floated outside of primary competency area, a team-based care model is utilized
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required — pending licensure is not accepted
- Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience required
- Required certifications: BLS and ONS/ONCC
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside within 75 miles of the facility to be eligible — local candidates only
- Scrub color: any solid color
- Parking is available at a nearby detention center lot for $2/day (shuttle runs every 15 minutes); alternative options include a hospital garage at $30/day or metered street parking — public transit is highly recommended
- RTO is capped at 5 days total for the assignment, with no more than 2 consecutive days off at a time
- No RTO will be approved on weekends, on holidays, or the day before or after a holiday
- Candidates with no RTO requested in the first 4–5 weeks of the assignment will be given priority consideration
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required — no exceptions; booster is not required
