Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Medical Imaging - CT position at a Level II Trauma Center in rural South Dakota, open to first-time travelers with at least 1 year of experience.
Details
- Level II Trauma Center in rural South Dakota
- Medical Imaging - CT department with 4 Siemens scanners
- Heavy trauma patient population including falls, MVAs, GSWs, and stabbings
- Scanning across inpatient, ED, and outpatient areas; higher-level scans including angiograms performed
- ED scan volume of approximately 60–70 scans per 24 hours; outpatient volume of approximately 50 scans per day
- 10-hour evening shifts, primarily nights, with a schedule of Friday through Monday (1:00 PM – 11:30 PM)
- Weekend rotation required; holiday rotation required; no call required
- Epic EMR (preferred experience)
- No floating required
Requirements
- Current BLS and ARRT-CT certifications required
- Must have graduated from an accredited Radiology Program qualifying the candidate to sit for ARRT (R)(CT) certification
- Minimum of 1 year of CT experience required
- Experience in a facility of comparable size and acuity preferred
- CTA experience preferred
- Team-oriented work style required
- No state licensure required; license required if applicable
- DOB and SSN required for consideration
- 2 professional references dated within the past year required for consideration

- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- A second CT Technologist is always on shift with you, ensuring 24/7 peer support
- Two-week orientation provided
- Black scrubs required; scrubs also available from the facility
- Free parking available on-site
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- This is a traveler-friendly facility with a strong track record of renewing travel contracts
