Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Long-Term Care position in Minnesota, requiring BLS certification and at least 2 years of experience with an every-other-weekend schedule.

Details

• Post-acute LTC/SNF care setting with two units: Tamarack (20 beds) and Aspen Memory Care Unit (20 beds)
• Daytime shifts, 7a–7p, 12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend required, with the possibility of additional weekend shifts
• On days, one RN/LPN is assigned per unit; on nights, one RN/LPN covers both units
• CNA support on days/evenings includes up to 3 CNAs per unit; nights have 1 CNA in Tamarack and 2 CNAs in Aspen
• 4–5 private practice physicians round daily
• MEDITECH used as the primary charting system; Point Click Care also referenced as EMR
• 8-week contract

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• BSN not required
• Dementia care training required prior to start

• Orientation consists of 3 shifts on the unit
• Holiday coverage is expected
• Any scrub color is acceptable
• No floating between departments required
• Mandated overtime may be required
• Assignments may change during shifts, so flexibility is essential
