Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract at a Level III trauma center in Farmington, NM, requiring multi-specialty surgical proficiency and call availability.

Details

• Operating Room setting within a 198-bed, Level III trauma center serving the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah
• Specialties supported include Urology, Neuro, General, GYN, Podiatry, Plastic, Ortho, Dental, and ENT
• Diverse patient population across all age groups with a 1:1 patient ratio
• 10 OR suites with varied equipment depending on service specialty
• Charting performed in Cerner
• Schedule is 4x10-hour shifts (7:00 AM–5:30 PM) with occasional weekend shifts
• Call is required, averaging 4–5 shifts per month
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NM or Compact RN license required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
• Proficiency required in Neuro, Ortho, Trauma, Vascular, and OB/GYN surgical cases
• Must be skilled across a full range of procedures, from basic laparoscopic cases to complex open abdominal and chest cavity trauma surgeries
• Must be able to anticipate instrument, supply, and equipment needs for significant traumatic injury cases
• Must score at least 3.2 overall on the required skills checklist
• Cerner experience preferred
