Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a high-risk OB facility in Eureka, CA, requiring a CA RN license and Epic experience.

Details

Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting caring for a high-risk OB and culturally diverse patient population
RNs are required to circulate on cesarean sections
Unit has 11 rooms and 15 beds with an average daily census of 15–20 patients
Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
Weekend work required to meet staffing needs
Floating required within scope to meet facility needs; travelers are first to float, including across all facilities within the state
Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

Active CA RN license required; pending licenses are not accepted
Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
BLS certification required
Epic EMR proficiency required
Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting required for consideration

Additional Information

First-time travelers are welcome to apply
RTO is limited to no more than 7 days for the duration of the assignment
Former permanent employees of this health system must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment
