Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Intermediate Care (IMC/PCU) position requiring at least 2 years of experience including 1 year of travel experience, with night shift scheduling and floating responsibilities across sister facilities.
Details
- Intermediate Medical Care (IMC/PCU) unit in an acute care hospital setting
- 24-bed unit with an average daily census of 24 patients
- Critical care and telemetry patient population
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
- Floating within scope required to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities within a 75-mile radius
- Block scheduling requests are not accommodated
- Charts using Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active OK RN license or Compact RN license — no pending licenses accepted
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, EKG Course/Telemetry certification, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with at least 1 year of travel nursing experience
- Current Critical Care and Telemetry experience required
- Valid Driver's License or state-issued ID required for consideration
- Utility bill in the candidate's name with a matching address from within the last 3 months required for consideration
- Candidate's permanent address must be greater than 75 miles from the facility
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are not eligible — prior travel nursing experience is required
- Local candidates are not accepted; permanent address must be outside the 75-mile radius
- Former permanent staff of this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
- RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer per 13-week assignment; no holiday or blackout dates may be requested
- 2 supervisory references required for consideration
- Copies of all certifications required for consideration
