Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a Level III Trauma Operating Room position requiring 2 years of OR travel experience and an active MA RN license.

Details

• Work in a Level III Trauma OR within a complex community hospital setting
• 15-bed OR suite with a daily census of approximately 30–40 patients
• Pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient population
• 1:1 clinician-to-patient ratio
• Multispecialty OR environment including robotic surgery cases
• Mako and Da Vinci robotic systems used in procedures
• EMR: Epic (charting system)
• 40-hour work week rotating between day and evening shifts (1p–11:30pm), with 1–2 evening rotations per 4-week schedule
• Every other weekend (EOW) required, with 1–2 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• On-call required: 2–3 weekday calls and 1–2 weekend calls per 4-week schedule, plus 1 holiday call; weekend shifts include an on-call extension (e.g., 7a–5:30p shift, followed by call 5:30p–11p)
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required; conditional or pending licenses are not accepted
• BLS certification from AHA only; Red Cross and other providers are not accepted at this facility
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience in a single location
• Minimum 2 years of OR travel nursing experience
• Proficiency in basic aseptic technique, independent circulating, and multispecialty OR competencies
• Experience with Mako and Da Vinci robotic systems required
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted

Additional Information

• BSN and CNOR certification preferred
• Scrub experience preferred
• Timekeeping system: UKG/Kronos
• Local candidates residing within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are eligible to apply
• RTO requests must be disclosed at the time of consideration
