Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Medical Imaging - CT position at a Level II Trauma Center in rural South Dakota, with first-time travelers and those with as little as 1 year of experience welcomed.
Details
- Level II Trauma Center in rural South Dakota
- Medical Imaging - CT department with 4 Siemens scanners
- Heavy trauma patient population including falls, MVAs, GSWs, and stabbings
- Covers inpatient, ED, and outpatient scanning areas, including higher-level scans such as angiograms
- ED averages 60–70 scans per 24 hours; outpatient averages approximately 50 scans per day
- 10-hour evening shifts, primarily nights
- Schedule of Friday through Monday, 1:00 PM – 11:30 PM, with specific scheduling details discussed during the leadership interview
- Weekend and holiday rotations required
- No call required
- No floating outside of the department
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Current BLS and ARRT-CT certifications required
- Must have graduated from an accredited Radiology Program qualifying for ARRT(R)(CT) certification with advanced certification in CT
- Minimum of 1 year of CT experience required
- Experience in a facility of comparable size and acuity preferred
- CTA experience preferred
- No state licensure required; license required if applicable
- Team-oriented approach to patient care
- DOB and SSN required for consideration
- 2 professional references dated within the past year required for consideration

- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- A second CT Tech is always present in the department around the clock
- 2-week facility and unit orientation provided
- Candidates must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Scrubs are black or facility-provided
- Free parking available on-site
