Description
American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist for an outpatient hand therapy assignment in California, requiring a minimum of 5 years of outpatient hand therapy experience and a valid CA OT license.
Details
- Outpatient hand therapy setting
- Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 11:00–19:30
- Patient population spans pre-teens through geriatric individuals
- Cases include post-operative conditions, acute injuries, workers' compensation, and chronic orthopedic upper extremity disorders
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active California OT license required (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an outpatient hand therapy setting
- Proficiency in splint fabrication for post-operative, acute, and chronic conditions
- Experience treating a wide range of orthopedic upper extremity diagnoses
- CHT certification preferred but not required
- 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
- Former employees or travelers must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Only 1 holiday RTO request will be approved during the contract
