Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum) position at a Level III Trauma facility in Hancock, MI, requiring a minimum of 3 years of L&D experience and an active MI RN license.
Details
- Family Birthing Center unit within a 36-bed acute care hospital serving the Western Upper Michigan Peninsula
- LDRP unit with 5 LDRP beds, 3 overflow beds, and 3 triage beds
- Patient population includes a variety of low- to high-risk obstetric cases with low-volume substance use disorder (SUD) cases
- Staffing follows AWHONN standards
- Equipment includes 1 main OR, epidural, nitrous oxide, and Monica Novi wireless fetal monitoring
- EHR systems: Meditech and OBIX
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:15 AM
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
- Weekend requirement: every third weekend
- No on-call or float requirements
Requirements
- Active Michigan RN license required
- Minimum 3 years of Labor, Delivery, and Postpartum nursing experience required
- Required certifications: NRP, BLS (AHA), and EFM
- AHA-issued certifications specifically required
- ADN degree or higher required
- Comfortable and experienced with labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for the position
- Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
Additional Information
- Facility is a Maternal and Neonatal Level I and Trauma Level III designated hospital
- Scrubs may be any color; no cartoon characters or blue jeans permitted
