Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Vermont, requiring a minimum of 3 years of ED experience and active VT or compact RN license.
Details
- Rural critical access hospital emergency department with 9 beds, seeing over 15,000 patients per year
- Night shift schedule: three 12-hour shifts per week, 7 PM – 7 AM
- Must be available to cover mid-shifts as needed
- 13-week contract
- Uses Meditech EMR — familiarity with or ability to learn quickly is required
Requirements
- Active VT or compact multi-state RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS
- TNCC required; listed as preferred in the job description but required per certifications list
- Minimum 3 years of emergency room RN experience required
- DOB and SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced rural ED environment, including evaluating outcomes, consulting with other specialties, and adjusting the nursing care process as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary health team members to coordinate medical and nursing management of patient care
- ED is currently undergoing expansion construction
- Hospital is located in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom — a rural area with no public transportation; the closest airport is approximately 2 hours away
- Travelers begin their assignment on Wednesdays
- All credentialing must be submitted no later than five business days before the start date to avoid a delayed start
