Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a hospital-based rehab unit requiring 2+ years of experience and an active Florida PT license.

Details

• Hospital-based Physical Therapy department within a 281-bed facility
• Team includes 11 PTs, 2 PTAs, and 2 PRN office coordinators, with the majority of PTs working PRN
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Patient ratio of 8-10 patients per 8-hour shift, with assignments of 10-13 patients
• Utilizes Meditech for documentation
• Uses equipment such as walkers, crutches, braces, and wheelchairs
• Call requirement includes check-in by 7:00 AM

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Physical Therapy experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Active Florida PT license required, if applicable
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient evaluations, treatment, gait training, therapeutic exercises, and therapeutic activities
• Ability to quickly adapt to a fast-paced environment and learn Meditech charting system
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Gray scrub color required
• Department is described as cohesive, highly engaged, and positive with a hardworking team culture
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
