Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel Physical Therapist with at least 2 years of experience for a day-shift position in a hospital-based PT department in Margate, FL.

Details

• Located on the first floor of the main hospital building in a 281-bed facility
• Physical Therapy department staffed by 11 PTs and 2 PTAs
• All staff work day shift; shift hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
• Patient caseload of 8–10 patients per 8-hour requirement, with 10–13 patients typically assigned
• Procedures include evaluations, treatment, gait training, therapeutic exercises, and therapeutic activities
• Equipment used includes walkers, crutches, braces, and wheelchairs
• Documentation system: Meditech

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required, with active practice within the last 6 months
• Active Florida PT license required (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start)
• Two professional references required for Florida-based candidates
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Previous travel experience is preferred; candidates should be quick learners able to get up to speed on Meditech and begin treating patients promptly
• The department is described as highly cohesive, positive, and hardworking
• Gray scrubs required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
