Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week assignment at a Level I Trauma, academic teaching hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital setting with 1,259 staffed beds, operating as a Level I Trauma Center and teaching facility
- Inpatient and outpatient CT scan department
- Required CT procedures include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction
- Preferred CT procedures include aspirations/biopsies, brain perfusion, colonography, CT arthrography, drainage, myelography, and transplant studies
- All Siemens scanners in use; Siemens scanner experience preferred
- Charting via Epic; Epic experience preferred
- 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM with a rotating day off
- No call or weekend requirements
- May float within clinical scope per facility policy; no floating to sister facilities required
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience
- ARRT (CT) certification required and must be in hand at time of consideration
- Current BLS certification required
- Valid MO State License required; candidates submitting for IL may have a pending IL license
- Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings required
- Proficiency with PACS and contrast administration required
- IV starts, portables, and biopsy experience preferred
- Experience in a Level I Trauma Center or large hospital setting preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Scrub colors are black, red, or white
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract, with no RTO during the first week of orientation
- Allied travelers may remain on assignment for up to 12 months, after which a 6-month break in service is required
- Former permanent employees of this facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Parking passes are available for purchase at various lots near the facility; travelers should contact Public Safety for options and availability
