Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital in California, requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and the ability to circulate in the OR.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit within a 426-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital
- Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 07:00–19:30
- Weekends may exceed every other weekend to accommodate unit needs
- Floating between all facilities within the state is expected and required
- Charting via Epic (experience required)
- Free parking on site
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required; pending license not accepted
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring; AWHONN Advanced preferred
- Minimum 2 years of L&D RN experience required
- Ability to circulate in the OR required
- Ability to perform sterile vaginal exams required
- Experience in large hospital settings highly preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
- Travel pairs will not be considered
- Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be accommodated
- Scrubs are provided for L&D; RNs otherwise wear navy blue
- Former permanent employees of this health system must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility may be considered at a local rate
- Refusal to float between facilities within the state may result in assignment termination
- Minimal to no RTO — a small amount may be approved, but significant RTO will impact consideration
- All RTO must be disclosed at time of submission
