Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position in Bay City, MI, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and the ability to float to the ED and Step Down unit.

Details

• 12-hour day shifts in an ICU setting
• 36 hours per week with the option for 48-hour weeks
• Every other weekend requirement (at least 2 shifts per weekend rotation)
• No on-call requirements
• Floating to the ED and Step Down unit is required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Michigan RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Comfort with floating to the ED and Step Down unit required
• Preferred certifications: TCAR, TNCC, CCRN, or SCRN
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Neurosurgical experience preferred
• Open heart experience preferred

Additional Information

• Collaborates with physicians to develop and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Delegates and coordinates nursing care tasks to ancillary staff including Nurse Assistants and Patient Care Associates
• Participates in patient conferences and discharge/transfer planning
• Functions as a team leader to ensure proper patient placement and appropriate assignment delegation
• Precepts and mentors new employees and students as needed
• No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested for this assignment
• Copies of all certifications must be included for consideration
