Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Inpatient Rehabilitation (IRF) position in Louisville, KY, working Friday through Sunday day shifts with at least 2 years of hospital experience required.

Details

  • Inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital setting with 12–14 bed units on 1 South or 2B
  • Specializes in care for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injuries such as hip and knee replacements
  • Adult patient population (age 18 and older)
  • RN-to-patient ratio of 1:7
  • Day shift, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM, Friday through Sunday (every weekend)
  • No floating requirements
  • Uses Cerner EHR
  • On-site equipment includes EKG machine and bladder scanner

Requirements

  • Active KY or Compact RN license required, with no restrictions or disciplinary actions on record
  • Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
  • Hospital experience is required; inpatient rehab experience preferred
  • ADN minimum education requirement
  • Current BLS certification (AHA only) required
  • Active NIHSS certification required
  • Fully vaccinated for both COVID-19 and influenza required — no exceptions
  • US Social Security Number required

Additional Information

  • Provides comprehensive rehabilitation nursing care to patients recovering from acute injuries and illnesses
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training required and may be completed onsite
  • Royal blue scrubs required
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
  • Any gaps in work history of 3 months or more will require an explanation
  • 13-week contract
