Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Inpatient Rehabilitation (IRF) position in Louisville, KY, working Friday through Sunday day shifts with at least 2 years of hospital experience required.

Details

Inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital setting with 12–14 bed units on 1 South or 2B
Specializes in care for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injuries such as hip and knee replacements
Adult patient population (age 18 and older)
RN-to-patient ratio of 1:7
Day shift, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM, Friday through Sunday (every weekend)
No floating requirements
Uses Cerner EHR
On-site equipment includes EKG machine and bladder scanner

Requirements

Active KY or Compact RN license required, with no restrictions or disciplinary actions on record
Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
Hospital experience is required; inpatient rehab experience preferred
ADN minimum education requirement
Current BLS certification (AHA only) required
Active NIHSS certification required
Fully vaccinated for both COVID-19 and influenza required — no exceptions
US Social Security Number required

Additional Information

Provides comprehensive rehabilitation nursing care to patients recovering from acute injuries and illnesses
CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training required and may be completed onsite
Royal blue scrubs required
Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
Any gaps in work history of 3 months or more will require an explanation
13-week contract
