Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with proven experience in high-acuity, high-volume trauma environments for a Level 1 trauma center assignment.

Details

• Work in the CT department of a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center specializing in trauma, stroke, and burn cases
• 6 total CT scanners on site: 3 located in the Emergency Care Center, 2 for inpatient use, and 1 dedicated to the neuro floor for overnight use
• GE scanners in use — 2 with an older platform and 5 with the Revolution scanner platform
• Epic EMR in use
• 4x10 hour shifts per week, Monday through Thursday, 11:00 AM – 9:30 PM
• Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling is generally not approved

Requirements

• ARRT (CT) certification preferred
• Current BLS required
• Proven experience in high-pressure, large-scale, high-volume trauma environments is required — candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
• Experience managing critical and fast-paced clinical situations with diverse and severe cases
• Active state license required if applicable
