Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week travel contract in Henderson, NC, requiring a minimum of 1 year of ED experience and AHA certifications.
Details
- Work in a 20-bed Emergency Department at a Joint Commission-accredited, Duke LifePoint hospital
- High-paced, high-acuity rural ED serving a diverse patient population (adult, pediatric, geriatric)
- Patient ratio is 1:4, with surge ratios up to 1:5
- Preferred experience includes peripheral IV insertion, stroke, sepsis, and STEMI management
- EMR system: Paragon
- Day shift: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM (3x12-hour shifts per week)
- Must work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active RN license in NC or a compact state currently in hand
- AHA certifications required (e.g., BLS, ACLS — AHA-issued cards required)
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department RN experience
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- Candidates must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
Additional Information
- The ED is described as the region's largest and most comprehensive, also operating a free-standing ED location
- Scrub colors: black, navy, or royal blue
- Candidates may not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
- Candidates may not be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
- Orientation dates are available on a bi-weekly basis throughout the contract period
