Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Michigan hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of OB/L&D experience and certifications including ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate or NCC C-EFM.
Details
- 15-bed LDRP unit with 3 triage bays and 2 operating rooms
- Patient population includes antepartum, labor and delivery, OR, newborn, and couplet care cases
- Staffing ratios follow AWHONN guidelines
- Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required to other areas of the hospital as a sitter when needed, and to a sister facility approximately 27 miles away based on census and need
- No on-call requirements
- EMR: Epic
Requirements
- Active Michigan (MI) RN license required
- Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate and/or NCC C-EFM
- Preferred certification: AWHONN Advanced
- Minimum 2 years of experience in OB, Mother/Baby, and L&D required
- Required skills: OR circulating and FHM triage
- Preferred skill: Scrub
Additional Information
- Will work in all areas of the LDRP unit, including antepartum, labor and delivery, OR circulating, scrub, newborn care at delivery, and couplet care
- Nurses perform lab draws and newborn hearing screens using the ALGO 5 machine; training provided for hearing screen completion
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- Holiday coverage is required; RTO during holidays must remain flexible to accommodate staffing needs
- No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the contract
