Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week Med/Surg travel assignment on an Acute GI Medicine Unit, requiring a minimum of 2 years of specialty experience and a GA or compact RN license.
Details
- Work setting is an acute care inpatient hospital unit specializing in GI/COVID Medical/Surgical care
- 34-bed unit with all private rooms and telemetry capability
- Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
- 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3 shifts per week
- EMR system: Cerner; also uses Accudose and SBAR communication framework
- No on-call responsibilities
Requirements
- Active GA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Certifications required: AHA BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS); ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg specialty experience required
- Driver's license required for consideration
- AHA certifications must be current and unexpired
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Former permanent staff of this health system must have a 2-year break in employment before returning as a travel nurse
- Scrub color requirement: Navy Blue
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront and cannot be requested after an offer is accepted
