Description
American Traveler is hiring a Home Health Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of skilled home health experience for a 13-week contract serving West Portland, OR and surrounding areas.
Details
- Home health setting serving West Portland, OR and surrounding areas
- Day shift, 5x8-hour schedule (8:00–16:30); 4x10 and 3x12 schedules cannot be accommodated
- Caseload of up to 6 patients per day with a standard productivity expectation of 30 points
- No weekend, on-call, or float requirements within the unit
- Charting is completed via Epic Remote Client (laptop) and Rover (phone app), with OASIS documentation required
- Local candidates are accepted; candidates living within 50–75 miles of the facility are considered local and may be accepted at the same rate
Requirements
- Active Oregon OT license required (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 1 year of skilled home health experience required
- OASIS experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Reliable personal transportation required
- COVID-19 primary vaccine series plus at least one booster required
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former permanent staff at this health system must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot be within 50 miles of the submitting facility
- All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment
- RTO is expected to be minimal; a few days may be approved but significant RTO requests may impact the process
- The facility's scheduling system groups clients to minimize drive time; occasional daily drive radius may reach up to approximately 60 miles (60–90 minutes total)
- Business casual attire is required; scrubs are permitted but not required, and no specific color is mandated; jeans are not allowed
- Mileage reimbursement is provided at the IRS standard rate
- Parking is free
