Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient PT position in the Tucson, AZ area, with at least 1 year of outpatient experience and an active AZ license required prior to start.

Details

  • Outpatient physical therapy clinic setting
  • Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of recent outpatient physical therapy experience required
  • Active Arizona PT license required prior to start date; license must be in good standing (license required if applicable)
  • Current BLS certification required

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients via physician referral or direct access, and supervising PT assistants and technicians
  • Experience with or willingness to learn occupational medicine workflows, including work hardening evaluations, functional capacity evaluations (FCEs), and post-offer employment testing (e.g., WorkSTEPS or APET)
  • Performs ergonomic evaluations and job analyses for injured worker populations
  • Maintains timely documentation and communication with referring physicians and rehab nursing staff
  • Participates in business development activities and community outreach when patient load allows
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
  • 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
  • Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
