Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery (LDRP) position requiring a minimum of 1.5 years of L&D experience, Cerner proficiency, and night shift availability.
Details
- Labor and Delivery (LDRP) unit in a hospital setting
- Level 1 nursery and Level 1 OB/delivery unit
- Patient ratio of 1:2 couplets
- Procedures include circumcision, external version, and C-section
- Equipment includes Panda warmers with built-in Neo-Puff and Philips fetal monitoring with wireless capability
- OB Hemorrhage Cart available on unit
- Cerner EMR — experience required
- Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 16:00–04:30
- Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital may be required
Requirements
- Active IN or Compact RN license required
- Nursing degree from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited institution required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (Advanced Fetal Monitoring also accepted) — AHA and RQI formats accepted
- Minimum 1.5 years of Labor & Delivery experience required; LDRP experience preferred
- Experience with triage, circulating, and telemetry required; nursery experience preferred
- Cerner charting experience required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- 2 supervisor references required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
- Indiana residents are considered local candidates — local candidates may be accepted at a modified pay package
- Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved
- Former permanent or PRN employees of IU Health must have a 12-month gap before applying as a traveler
- Current or past IU Health travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within IU Health are required to take a consecutive break to reset eligibility: out-of-state residents require a 90-day break, and in-state residents require a 180-day break
