Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cardiac ICU position in the Denver, CO area, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and active CO or compact RN license.

Details

• Cardiac ICU unit with 16 beds and a staff of approximately 60 nursing professionals
• Patient ratio of 1 RN to 2 patients
• Day shift: 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
• Equipment used includes cardiac monitoring, ventilators, IV pumps, tube feed pumps, and Swan catheters
• EMR system: Meditech (prior experience preferred)
• Unit staffing includes a Charge RN/CNC, RNs, and a PCT per shift
• Common procedures include intubations and central line placement

Requirements

• Active CO or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical ICU experience required
• At least 1 year of recent acute care ICU experience required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — Canadian SSNs are not accepted
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Experience with neuro and medical ICU patient populations is preferred
• Prior Meditech EMR experience is preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
