Description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for an Orthopedics unit requiring a minimum of 1 year of recent acute care Ortho RN experience and an active CO or compact RN license.
Details
- Work on a 30-bed Orthopedic unit within a hospital setting
- Care for a diverse patient population including elective orthopedic and Ortho trauma patients
- Unit staffed with 1 charge nurse, 4-6 bedside RNs, and 2-4 PCTs per shift
- Patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6
- Utilizes CPM (continuous passive motion) equipment for specialty surgeries
- Utilizes nerve block pumps and On-Q pain management balls
- Charting completed in Meditech EMR
- Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- 13-week assignment length
Requirements
- Active RN license (CO or Compact) currently in hand
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital experience as an Ortho RN required
- Med/Surg experience preferred
- ACLS certification preferred
- Meditech EMR experience preferred
- Experience with IV starts, Foley/straight catheterization, CPM application, and early mobilization
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months
