Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring a compact or ME license and at least 1 year of specialty experience, working overnight 12-hour shifts.

Details

• Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 7PM–7AM, 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week
• EMR: Cerner
• Pyxis medication dispensing system in use
• Med/Surg and telemetry patient population; specific diagnoses and ratios discussed during interview
• Floating policy discussed during interview

Requirements

• Active RN license — compact or Maine (ME) license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• Full SSN required for consideration
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Copies of all certifications required for consideration
• 2 professional references within the past year required; at least one from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge Nurse — peer references not accepted
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Permanent address must be 100+ miles south or southwest of the facility to be eligible
• Must not have previously worked at any Northern Light Health Hospital in a permanent capacity

Additional Information

• Orientation consists of 1–2 shifts
• All RTO requests require manager approval
• Any scrub color is acceptable
• Free parking available on site
• Flu vaccination is required prior to start; medical exemptions only are accepted and must be submitted at least 2 weeks in advance for committee review
• First-time traveler eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis through the interview process
• Manager interviews are required for this position
