Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist for a night shift weekend contract at an acute care hospital in Lafayette, CO, requiring ARRT(R) certification and 1+ year of radiology experience.
Details
- Acute care hospital radiology department setting
- Performs diagnostic X-ray procedures including patient positioning, contrast preparation and administration, and image quality evaluation
- 12-hour night shifts, Friday through Sunday, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
- 36 hours per week, 3 days per week
- Weekend-only schedule
- Epic EMR used for charting
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist
- Active ARRT(R) registration required
- CT certification required
- Active BLS certification (AHA) required — must not expire prior to start date
- Active state license required if applicable
- Personal radiation monitoring badge (dosimeter) required — candidates are encouraged to use an existing badge from a prior employer or assignment
- Proficiency in image quality evaluation and radiation safety measures (ALARA)
- Competency in sterile technique and infection prevention practices
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include performing diagnostic X-ray procedures, operating X-ray imaging equipment, coordinating examinations for timeliness and continuity of care, submitting images and clinical data to the Radiologist, and following Radiation Safety Measures (ALARA)
- Prepares and administers contrast per Radiologist protocol
- May supervise and evaluate student radiographers in the clinical setting
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
