Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring at least one year of experience and the ability to float hospital-wide on night shifts.
Details
- Work setting is a hospital 3rd Floor Overflow/Med-Surg unit
- Med/Surg and step-down experience required, with potential to float to any area of the hospital
- Night shift, 12-hour days, 4 days per week (48 hours per week)
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license (Oklahoma state license or eNLC compact license) required
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — AHA certifications only accepted
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Med/Surg and step-down experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates
- Full date of birth (DOB) required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, documenting patient responses to nursing interventions, administering medications, initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products, and coordinating with physicians and support staff
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility may reapply after a 6-month separation period following 26 weeks of total assignment time
- Compliance requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) must be completed promptly — the facility does not allow delayed start dates due to non-compliance
