Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) travel assignment in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 2 years of PCU experience and Epic proficiency for a 13-week night shift contract.

Details

  • Lower-acuity cardiac Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
  • Cardiac experience is preferred for this assignment
  • Estimated patient ratio of 1:3
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
  • Weekday and some weekend shifts required
  • Rotating holiday coverage required
  • Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity level
  • Epic EMR — experience required

Requirements

  • Active Ohio RN license or a compact RN license currently in hand
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
  • Proficiency with IV insertion and telemetry monitoring required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference; co-worker references are not accepted

Additional Information

  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as traveling candidates
  • Former employees of the facility are eligible for a travel assignment after a minimum 6-month separation
  • Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and must not exceed 7 days for the contract duration
  • Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be initiated promptly after accepting the position — candidates outside Ohio may need to travel to an in-state fingerprinting location or will be mailed a fingerprinting packet to complete urgently
  • Parking is available on-site through a campus parking permit program with multiple options at varying price points
