Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position at a high-acuity critical care facility in Nashville, TN, requiring at least 2 years of critical care experience and a TN or compact RN license.

Details

• Night shift position, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• 15-bed Critical Care Unit specializing in cardiothoracic surgery and neuro/neurosurgery
• Patient population includes cardiac surgery, cardiac transplant, MI, CHF, cardiogenic shock, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, post-cardiopulmonary arrest, post-VAD placement, and COVID-19 ICU-level care
• Ages served: adolescent through late adult (14–60+)
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2
• Direct care team consists of RNs and Patient Care Techs
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TN RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of critical care (ICU) experience required
• Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test required
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
• Full Social Security Number and full date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides ICU-level care to some of the most critically ill patients in the Nashville area, including patients transferred from across Tennessee
• Experience with ECMO is relevant given the unit's history of caring for complex cardiac and COVID-19 patients
