Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital in California, requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and the ability to circulate in the OR.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit at a 426-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 07:00–19:30
• Weekends may exceed every other weekend to accommodate unit needs
• Floating between all facilities within California is required and expected of all travelers
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• Free parking available on-site

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required; pending licensure is not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of L&D RN experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification preferred
• Must be able to circulate in the OR
• Must be able to perform sterile vaginal exams
• Experience in a large hospital setting highly preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable L&D specialty/setting required for consideration
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Travel pairs will not be accepted
• Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be accommodated
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
• Former permanent staff of this facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler, and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Refusal to float between facilities may result in termination of the assignment
• RTO requests should be submitted at the time of consideration; minimal RTO is strongly preferred
• Navy blue scrubs required for RNs; L&D/OR scrubs are provided by the facility
