Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Sonographer with 3+ years of experience and ARDMS certification for a 13-week travel contract in Nashua, NH.
Details
- Hospital-based cardiac sonography position in Nashua, NH
- Performs cardiac ultrasound procedures under physician direction for interpretation by a cardiologist or radiologist
- Assists cardiologists and physicians during invasive ultrasound procedures
- Day shift schedule
- Defined workweek runs Sunday at 12:01 AM through Saturday at 11:59 PM
- On-call approximately once every 5th or 6th week (1 week of on-call at a time)
- One hospital holiday rotation per year, with the ability to swap with other Echo Techs with supervisor approval
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer / Echo Technologist
- ARDMS (AB) certification required
- BLS required
- NH state license required (must be currently active); license required if applicable
- Degree or certificate from a CAAHEP-accredited sonography program, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Certification in cardiac ultrasound by ARDMS or CCI required
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 35 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach as part of daily duties
Additional Information
- Responsible for producing technically diagnostic quality exams in a timely manner for physician interpretation
- Reviews physician orders, requisitions, and special requests prior to performing procedures
- Completes all required documentation and exam charge processes
- Maintains medical supplies, stock items, and cleanliness of patient exam rooms
- Communicates effectively and professionally with patients, families, visitors, staff, and physicians
- Expected to uphold and promote facility standards of conduct and mission values
