Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg travel assignment in Clyde, NC, requiring at least 1-2 years of experience and an active NC or compact RN license.

Details

• Med/Surg unit in a 39-bed department at a 154-bed Joint Commission accredited Duke LifePoint hospital
• Adult and geriatric patient population with common diagnoses including fractures, COPD, HTN, chest pain, CHF, and infections
• Patient ratio of approximately 1:4
• Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Float requirement on weekends
• No on-call responsibilities
• EHR: Paragon (experience recommended)
• Located in Clyde, NC, approximately 20 miles from Asheville

Requirements

• Active RN license in NC or a compact state currently in hand
• AHA certifications required (e.g., BLS)
• Minimum 1-2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time

Additional Information

• Hospital offers services including orthopedics, spine, cardiology, general surgery, women's care, ED, behavioral health, and a Chest Pain Center
• Orientation is held bi-weekly
• RNs are required to wear navy blue scrubs
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible for this position
