Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Round Rock, TX, requiring TNCC and ENPC certifications with at least 1 year of ED experience.
Details
- Work setting is a hospital-based Emergency Department with 48 private rooms, 27 hallway stretchers, 9 fast track bays, and 5 behavioral health rooms
- Patient population includes ED, behavioral health, and cardiac/trauma patients
- Patient ratios are 1:4 ED, 1:5 behavioral health, and 1:3 cardiac/trauma
- Equipment used includes Alaris pumps, Belmont and Level 1 rapid infusers, and Stryker stretchers
- EMR system is MEDITECH; prior experience preferred
- Shift is 1:00 PM – 1:00 AM
- Rotating weekend shifts required
- No on-call requirements
- Procedures performed include splinting, EKGs, central monitoring, trauma assists, central line management, airway support, behavioral health de-escalation, morgan lens, rapid infuser use, and resuscitation
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS (AHA or ARC accepted; no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
- CPI certification required (SAMA, MAB, or ACPMA may be accepted in lieu of CPI)
- Minimum 1 year of recent ED nursing experience required
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- MEDITECH experience is preferred
- Trauma experience is preferred
- Holding/inpatient experience is preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
- Navy blue scrubs required for RNs
- Ideal candidates are strong multitaskers, team players, and self-starters
