Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of acute care experience for a 488-bed acute care hospital in Mission Viejo, CA, with ICU experience highly preferred.
Details
- 488-bed acute care hospital setting
- OT Acute Care unit serving a broad patient population including CVA, multiple trauma, cardiac, orthopedic, open heart, general med, oncology, neuro, spine, and total joint cases
- Day shift, 5x8-hour schedule (8:00–16:30)
- Primarily Monday–Friday with 3 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
- Epic EMR experience required
- May be required to float to a nearby sister facility
- Optional opportunity to cross-train at an outpatient center
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of OT experience required; 3+ years required for first-time travelers
- Acute care experience required
- ICU experience highly preferred
- Active CA OT license required — license required if applicable
- Current BLS certification required
- Epic EMR experience required
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Active professional license at time of consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers may be considered with 3+ years of experience
- Pending CA license not accepted
- All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live more than 50 miles from the facility
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate — contact your recruiter for details
- RTO must be submitted at time of consideration; minimal RTO is strongly preferred
- Block schedule may be accommodated at manager's discretion
- Free parking on-site
