Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatric Medical unit position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring at least one year of nursing experience and current AHA certifications including PALS.
Details
- Inpatient pediatric medical unit in a hospital setting
- Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active OK RN license or current multistate compact (eNLC) RN license required
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include assessing and monitoring assigned pediatric patients, documenting nursing interventions, administering medications, and initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products
- Collaborates with physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Communicates care plans and discharge instructions to patients and families
- Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply; extensions are limited to one time for a maximum of 26 weeks total
- Compliance with onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, medical requirements) must begin immediately upon offer acceptance — compliance deadlines are strictly enforced and non-negotiable
- BSN is preferred but not required
