Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist for a float position across multiple buildings at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital in Charleston, SC, requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification.
Details
- Float position covering MRI across all buildings within the facility
- 865-bed Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital
- Daily caseload varies based on coverage needs
- Schedule is 3x12-hour day shifts, Friday through Sunday, 6:30 AM – 7:30 PM; hours may vary depending on coverage needs
- Holiday coverage required when holidays fall on a scheduled shift
- No on-call requirement
- Charting via Epic
- 13-week assignment
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of MRI technologist experience
- Current BLS (AHA) required
- ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
- Siemens MRI equipment experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- License required if applicable
- Non-local candidates preferred; candidates living within 60 miles of the facility may be considered on a case-by-case basis
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
- All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on the manager's and unit's needs
- Completion of orientation modules is required prior to the start of the assignment
- Teal top and black bottom scrubs required
- Parking is free on weekdays; a one-time $20 parking pass is required for nights and weekends
- Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak hurricane months are August and September
