Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist for a float position across multiple buildings at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital in Charleston, SC, requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification.

Details

  • Float position covering MRI across all buildings within the facility
  • 865-bed Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital
  • Daily caseload varies based on coverage needs
  • Schedule is 3x12-hour day shifts, Friday through Sunday, 6:30 AM – 7:30 PM; hours may vary depending on coverage needs
  • Holiday coverage required when holidays fall on a scheduled shift
  • No on-call requirement
  • Charting via Epic
  • 13-week assignment

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of MRI technologist experience
  • Current BLS (AHA) required
  • ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
  • Siemens MRI equipment experience required
  • Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
  • SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
  • Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
  • License required if applicable
  • Non-local candidates preferred; candidates living within 60 miles of the facility may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are accepted for this position
  • Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
  • All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on the manager's and unit's needs
  • Completion of orientation modules is required prior to the start of the assignment
  • Teal top and black bottom scrubs required
  • Parking is free on weekdays; a one-time $20 parking pass is required for nights and weekends
  • Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak hurricane months are August and September
